Earlier, the source indicated that the restriction on intelligence sharing was “targeted,” impacting only data that could aid strikes within Russia.

A Ukrainian source has informed Sky News that the United States has completely stopped sharing intelligence with Kyiv.

Initially, the source, who is knowledgeable about the situation, mentioned that the intelligence restrictions were “targeted,” only affecting information that could aid strikes within Russia. However, the source has now confirmed that “a few hours ago, all intelligence sharing was stopped.”

Previously, the Ukrainian source explained that the “targeted” suspension still permitted the US to provide intelligence beneficial for attacking Russian forces in areas of Ukraine occupied by Russia.

This latest development represents another blow for Kyiv, following US President Donald Trump’s decision to halt all military aid to Ukraine after a disagreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.

US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz mentioned that Washington has “stepped back” in its relationship with Ukraine, while CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred to the halt as a temporary “pause.” He indicated that American intelligence sharing and military aid could resume once President Trump is assured of President Zelenskyy’s dedication to peace.

“I believe the pause on the military and intelligence front will be lifted,” Ratcliffe told Fox Business Network.

“We will continue to work closely with Ukraine to counter aggression, but also to foster a better environment for advancing peace negotiations,” he added.

Since Russia’s invasion in 2022, the US has provided Ukraine with essential intelligence, including critical data to assist its military in targeting Russian forces.

The pause in intelligence sharing comes at a time when there are signs that the previously tense relationship between President Trump and President Zelenskyy might be getting better following their disagreement in the Oval Office.

In a speech to Congress on Tuesday, the US president conveyed his “appreciation” for a letter from his Ukrainian counterpart, in which Kyiv reiterated its readiness to finalize a minerals agreement with Washington “at any time.”

Zelenskyy mentioned that it was “time to mend ties” with President Trump.
